Powerful story

I’ve exchanged a few emails with Emily about the subject, so when she told me today that she had finally decided to write about her abuse on her blog, I was excited to read about it. I can’t say that I was prepared for such an intense and moving story, but I was glad to see her work up the courage to talk about it. Thank you, Emily, for sharing it with us.

    I was a productive adult member of society for numerous years despite my childhood abuse (sexual, physical, mental, and neglect – i.e.: the grand slam) I am now suffering from social phobias at the age of 57. The fear is so paralyzing that I have not worked in over 2 years. My parents have loaned me money but they are running out of patience and within two months I will loose everything and be on the streets. Has anyone found themselves struck with this phobia?
