We&#8217;ve known for a long time that getting mental healthcare is a challenge in the UK as much as in the US. (And likely most other countries)<\/p>\n<p>What was sadder is that it&#8217;s getting worse. Specifically, it&#8217;s getting worse for the most vulnerable kids. The kids already in the child protection plans or under care. The ones living with childhood trauma, who are more likely to need mental health care, can&#8217;t get it.<\/p>\n<p>We are failing to protect kids from trauma, and them failing to provide proper resources to assist them after that trauma.
