But no one knows these things until you start the conversation. So let\u2019s start the freaking conversation.<\/p>\n<p>I am medicated to treat my depression. I love when people tell me they can\u2019t believe I\u2019m medicated. You seem so happy. Yes because I\u2019m freaking medicated. Just like when people find out I use head and shoulders, yet I don\u2019t have dandruff. Think about it.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It&#8217;s true, the numbers on depression are astonishing mostly because we don&#8217;t talk about it. I&#8217;m no longer medicated, but I&#8217;m glad that I was when I needed to be, and I&#8217;m not at all ashamed to admit that even now I have to keep a close eye on myself for signs of depression coming back. That doesn&#8217;t make me weak, it makes me smart. Having depression doesn&#8217;t make you weak either, it makes you one out of millions!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ift.tt\/1nbmMEm\">It&#8217;s Time We Start to Talk About Depression Like the Common Illness That It Is<\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"syndication-links\"><\/div><span class=\"kt-load-after-post\"><\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;It was amazing to me to realize just how many people had gone through similar things as me.
