But invisible? No. Mental illness can be seen if we, as a society, better educate ourselves on what to look for. This education will lead to understanding and both reduce stigma and save lives.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s time we stop pretending mental illness is invisible and instead open our eyes.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

There’s a lot to think about in the above statement. I too have been guilty of describing mental illness as “invisible” because it’s not as easy to see as something that has clear physical symptoms, but the author of this article is tight, there are symptoms. Many times there are obvious symptoms that get ignored because we are uncomfortable with the idea of someone close to us being mentally ill.<\/p>\n

But, once again, the statistics tell us that it is extremely likely that someone close to us is, in fact, dealing with mental health issues. Are you ignoring all the signs?<\/p>\n
