In a way, this has helped many depression survivors understand closely, what they too are going through, and why. These are the guys that need help, but have forever been drowned by the stigma that surrounds us. These are the guys that never had a soul to speak up to; not even a medic who\u2019d tell them that they needed treatment. To be honest, I did not expect them to come around to me later, telling me how they felt, seeking advice, and even contemplating a trip to the nearest counsellor or psychiatrist. I did not expect to find, through my experiments, so many others like me; shrouded in the dark cloud that is depression.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I used to be surprised too, by how often people told me their own stories of depression and even their own stories of child abuse when they discovered that I was willing to talk about my past openly. Then I really started thinking about the statistics, and realized that there have to be so many people right around me everyday who simply don&#8217;t feel they can talk to anyone.<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t let others feel that way.
