Why is it easy for us to support someone getting surgery, and encourage them to see experts and take medication as needed, but not do exactly the same for a mental health diagnosis?<\/p>\n<p>Why do people feel like they can support someone with a physical injury without &#8220;fixing&#8221; them, but constantly try to fix someone&#8217;s depression?<\/p>\n<p>Just stop it already. What someone with depression needs is the same as someone recovering from surgery.
