Survivors are all individuals, some will struggle with certain things, others with completely different things. None of that makes you stronger or weaker.We are all just different.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Many abuse survivors are not \u2018stronger\u2019 after the abuse they have suffered. And for those who claim they are \u2013 that\u2019s great, but it is very narcissistic to then look down on those who are struggling and mock, belittle and\/or shame those who are deemed to not be \u2018as strong\u2019.<br \/>\nMany abuse survivors already feel considerable shame, due to\u00a0the abuse\u00a0they have suffered and when they are treated in this victim shaming way, that shame increases, and\u00a0often leads to increased mental health issues, and can lead to suicide. When shamed for not being \u2018strong enough\u2019 \u2013 survivors can feel a burden, useless and weak.
