It found about half of psychology students receive formal classroom training on suicide during their graduate education. Only about 25% of social workers receive any suicide prevention training. Marriage and family therapists had even less.\u00a0Most psychiatrists receive some instruction, but many experts agree it&#8217;s insufficient.\u00a0&#8220;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>There are many reasons why, and examples of how this impacts patient care in the article below, I highly recommend reading the whole thing, but at the end of it all, I just keep asking the same question.<\/p>\n<p>How do we change this?
