It&#8217;s not true.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;It is therefore very important that you know on a very visceral level that what you experienced is not your body\u2019s fault, your body just happened to be involved.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>For sexual abuse survivors, this often also includes blaming our bodies for how they responded to stimuli as if it had the capacity to do anything else. As Azure says, it just happened to to be involved. It&#8217;s not at fault, any more than a survivor is at fault.
