Lauren has some interesting ideas about what its going to take to stop rape and sexual violence. I’m not saying I agree with everything she says here, (I would argue for a more individual responsibility approach, but I also understand that not stigmatizing rapists and abusers does enable them to continue.) but it’s all worth thinking and talking about. As a male who was a victim of childhood sexual assault, I can’t condone any man who assaults a woman or another man, but I sure know plenty of people do.
