“The study, published in Lancet Psychiatry, found 14-year-olds who got some form of mental health treatment had a greater decrease in depressive symptoms than teens with the same symptoms who didn’t access treatment. For teens who didn’t get treatment when symptoms started, they are more than seven times more likely to report major depression by the age of 17 than the teens who did get help.”
