What’s Been Distracting Me?

I know I’ve been away from the site for a bit, and have only managed to check in over on the Survivor’s Network every couple of days. I hope the news I recently shared about my professional life will help explain my absence, as well as explain why March might not be any different! 😉

Hopefully, once I’m settled into the new job and the new town, things will get back to normal with my online time again. In the mean time, I hope you’ll be patient with me!

Baltimore pictures are up. Angela also has her own version here. We had a really nice time, and it was wonderful to get three whole days of uninterrupted “us” time. Baltimore wasn’t the greatest city I’ve ever visited but we enjoyed ourselves none the less!

Yes last weekend was my 36th birthday. On the 4th, as a matter of fact. It made for a fun weekend, what with your normal 4th of July festivites on top of various birthday celebrations. It was rather nice to have a 3 day weekend, to spend time with family and friends, relax, celebrate, etc….

A couple of weeks have gone by since I saw this article in response to the airline crash in Europe. Germanwings crash: Seven in ten bosses do not think mental illness merits time off work I’ve been struggling to figure out what, exactly, I wanted to say about this, but I knew I wanted to…

I’ve been reading a book about networking as part of my attempt to find a new job. Last night I was trying to work on a few of the exercises concerning professional goals, values, etc. One of the exercises was to list 5 accomplishmnets that I am proud of. Ha! Little do they know me,…

  1. You have to give your full concentration on “real life” and getting settled…..that happens to all of us bloggers at some point.

Hope your transition goes smoothly! See you when life slows down.

  2. Mike,

Congrats on the new job and new location. I am really looking forward to you getting back at your blog. I have been searching all over, and there are so few of us dealing with male sexual abuse… that we need to stick together. In the meantime, please let me know what you think of mine. http://www.masteryourhealing.com.

    1. Thanks Erik. no worries, the blog will be here, I’m just going to be a little less consistent for a little while because time will be a bit less available as I move, but it will be back as always as we get into April.

Thanks for sharing your blog, looks like you’ve done a nice job, keep it up!

  3. Good luck with all this new stuff, Mike. I hope it all goes well for you. I am always wishing you the best.

Right now, I’m making the rounds to say goodbye to the blogosphere after five years of blogging. I want to thank you for all your encouragement and support, for my blog and THE BLOG CARNIVAL AGAINST CHILD ABUSE. Thanks for being you and for the work that you do.
