Greater Manchester Police in England have reported a good response to their appeal for information following the abduction and rape of a 14 year old boy in June. There were criticisms about the delay in releasing the information but the force decided to go through its customary forensic procedures before using the wider media. In addition the option to farm out the CCTV images for higher processing remains.
