New blog
Thanks to a pointer from Dave Winer, I’ve discovered a new blog by someone about their fight with cancer. My best wishes go out to Brian, as well as a thank you for blogging about his fight.
Pin I’ve written about this before, but obviously no one gets the message. On a daily basis, sometimes two or three times in a given day, I get tweets, Facebook messages or even emails about “sharing” someone’s story and plea for funds. Almost always the second I see a link to Kickstarter or GoFundMe, I quit…
Just wanted to get a post out to address a couple of things that have come up now that a few folks have started wandering in to the Survivors Network site. First off, if you try to register and never get the email confirmation, please check your spam filters and see if it’s getting filtered….

You can subscribe, and take a peek at some of my recent experimental issues over at my Revue profile. I hope you’ll consider subscribing, and sharing with your friends if you find it useful!
I upgraded the Movable Type installation to 3.11 this evening. Assuming that this posts, everything seems to be working properly. The impetus for moving was comment spam, unfortunately. I came back from our last vacation with a dozen or so comments that had been posted to the site. Normally, spam comments are gone just about…
If you missed last month’s edition of the carnival, or just want to know what the heck I’m talking about, you can check it out over at Tracie’s. This month, I will be doing the honors and hosting it right here! Of course, since this is Child Abuse Prevention Month, I am really looking forward…
