We had a really nice time, and it was wonderful to get three whole days of uninterrupted “us” time. Baltimore wasn’t the greatest city I’ve ever visited but we enjoyed ourselves none the less!

Pin I heard someone on the radio use this phrase to describe herself as we were out grabbing a few last-minute items to assist with riding out Hurricane Ida. She was talking about evacuating her home in New Orleans at 10:30 last night, driving to Alabama to seek shelter, and then doing the show remotely from there.
Here, we aren’t in as much of a need to evacuate, we are further from the coast and the storm surge, but it’s still going to be a long, dangerous couple of days. So, we are spending a lot of time, and both mental and physical energy, preparing to possibly be without power, for needing to leave if the house is damaged, and so forth. It’s a lot. And that is on top of all the mental energy necessary to deal with large COVID outbreaks we’ve had in recent weeks, all of the recent events in world news, and the various personal and professional challenges that we are also dealing with.
Running on fumes is a really good description of how I think most of the entire state feels today, and yet, there’s a storm coming that we are all going to have to deal with, while everything else just continues on as well.
A few weeks back, Patricia wrote about being an advocate, and being accused of being “stuck in victim mode” because she continued to talk about child abuse. I am doing a report well a bunch of reports on child abuse. yes i would like to stop child abuse because it is sad and stupid to see children being abuse. When I did a project on child abuse I felt so sorry for the children who have been abused because they have to deal with the bad situations and the harsh punishment. And that is not the way to handle things not to beat on them . Plus who iis dumb enough to hurt their children like that. That is horrible and very bougs.
I think that child abude is a really bad thing because it hurt really bad. If I was them I would run away because I could not put up with what my parent would be doing to do. I would be really mad and I would run to the poile station and live with my gradma for the rest of my life time.

I think that all abuse is wrong and that poeple wh abuse and hurt other have a seriuos problem. They need to get help.I personaly have been abused in every way possible so I know how they all feel.I wish some of the abuser around the world knew how it feels.
I think that child abuse should be stopped! i have custody of one of my granddaughters that was abused by her mother at 5 months so I know waht it is. I think that if people look really look at it they will see that when you could punish your child (a good ass whooping)thre wasn’t as much abuse as there is these days, also the things they are taught in schools about abuse (wrong)I had many stripes as a child on my legs from peach tree limbs and let me tell you it done me good. So I think your wrong when you say you can’t whoop a child. Now a days everything thing is considered child abuse. they take it a little too far. Kids would be alot better off if they could get a spanking without it being abuse. So many parents these days won’t touch a kid because they think they will be locked up. That’s what’s wrong with kids these days that are so out of control and run over the parents cause they know you can’t do a damn thing about it cause they yell abuse so damn much.
