Polanski: The Genius And The Girl

Roman Polanski has been arrested in Switzerland in relation to the child abuse charges to which he pleaded guilty over 30 years ago, when he slept with a 13-year-old. Since 1977 the director lived and worked outside America to avoid arrest.

It’s an unfolding story and we will have to see whether the charges are dismissed or minimised owing to the time involved.

The coverage is here at CNN, but the BBC’s reporting approached the arrest as an obituary (certainly for his career anyway), which you can read, as ever, in the right hand linked stories column. The main report is here.
