Etan Patz’s killer “confesses”
Over the weekend one of America’s longest-running missing child cases, that of six year old Etan Patz from 1979 in New York, was unofficially solved when his killer confessed at the end of his prison sentence for another crime. Unfortunately, he has only been charged with second degree murder without any additional kidnapping charges on top.
The BBC has the general summary to the story here so we’ll report on any follow-up trial or sentencing when it happens at a later date.
