Acting BBC Chief Contacts Present And Former Employees As Lord McApline Narrows Tweeters Down to 10000

The Acting BBC Chief Tim Davie has requested that present and former BBC staff contact him with any further evidence or unreported allegations of sexual misconduct at the corporation at the same time as Lord McAlpine will naturally seek higher damages from Independent Television. He has also identified a list of 1,000 original and 9000 retweeted posts that are perceived to be defamatory.

We’ll report on the practicalities of such action – normally starting with a form letter to that group of people – when McAplines legal team begin formal proceedings. The Evening Standard has the story here.
