This was one of the hardest things for people in my life when I was at my worst with depression. Once it was “out there”, people just stopped interacting with me unless they absolutely had to, and then they were so clearly uncomfortable around me that they were no help at all.
Do interact with us about normal stuff or ask us for help.
Just treat them like a normal person, and understand if they don’t always react normally. You don’t have to “fix” anything, you can’t as a matter of fact. Just be the same person you were before you knew they were struggling. That’s it.
