I’ve been a fan of that site for many years, and now is an opportune time to thank them for their work! There is a whole lot of great stuff over there, I’d definitely check it out if you’ve never found your way there.
We all have our experiences. We are experts in our experiences with mental health. That’s great, but our experience might not be everyone’s experience. It’s vital to remember that what works for us will not work for everyone we contact on social media, and what works for them might not work for us.
We’re not alone, but we are individuals.

We have only recently realized that childhood trauma can change the way our brains develop, or that concussions can change our brains permanently. We are still learning the details of how that happens and in the very early stages of figuring out how to treat that.
Could living in a polluted area do something similar? Of course. Why wouldn’t we believe that? It’s another example of something we are just beginning to understand about our brains and mental health.
