Survivors UK launches Rugby-related Male Rape Campaign

Male Rape and Child Abuse charity Survivors UK launched a new ad campaign at the start of the week, mounting large posters on London’s Underground subway system and also at the city’s busiest train station Clapham Junction. The Daily Mail and New York Daily News have the story here and here.

Hopefully the money spent on this campaign will not impact the organisation’s ability to run individual and group therapy on a more routine basis. However, as well as the Six Nations Championship, it will represent the UK’s general buildup to Child Abuse Awareness Month in the US in April. Although not officially recognised in Britain there have been many general TV programmes in support of the American spring initiative over the past two years. Hopefully the international TV support will continue this year as well.
