English Abuse Enquiry 3rd Chair Appointed
No news has emerged about England’s stalled government-level abuse enquiry due to two Chairs having to step down last year. Now a third has been appointed from New Zealand as anyone English was too likely to have links to the late Leon Brittain and not be seen as impartial.
The new appointment has happened within the same two days as another report into Rotherham’s situation caused the entire Council Cabinet to resign. Channel 4 covered that news here with one other story and the BBC covered the new Chair appointment here.
@SurvivorNetwork Why is it they struggle to appoint someone? Too much of a hot potato? Too hard for them to face or deal with? (1 of2)
@SurvivorNetwork (2of2) Well diddums to them. It’s not a scratch on the horrors that too many children have to suffer.
