Have I mentioned lately that I am truly honored by you people? Seriously, all of the people who take the time to write meaningful comments, or send me email privately (webmaster at this domain….) absolutely make my day! I’m truly honored most by the people who share their own stories with me, whether it be in comments, on their own blogs or, again, in private email. If you’re a regular Tumblr user, you can now follow this blog, including all of our posts, on our tumblr blog. Right now it just has a link to the latest posts up, but eventually I’d like to start getting involved with other survivors over there, the same way that we do on Facebook, Twitter…
I had to take the forums off-line temporarily. There’s been a security problem with the BB software. I haven’t decided if I’ll bring them back or not once the problem is fixed. I’m just not sure it’s worth the work any more to keep something up to date that gets so little use for folks….
Pin You are my online community, and while your numbers might not be as large as the number of followers I had on other platforms, I’m not worried about how this platform will change and become dangerous to any of you. This platform, MY platform, is safe for survivors, for those of you with mental health struggles, and for those of you dealing with illness, oppression, hatred, and discrimination. There are no shareholders to be beholden to, no one tracking you, no ads. There’s nothing here but one guy reminding you all that you are not alone.

I got a message yesterday over at the Facebook page for this site. It was from someone who has been an adult for awhile, yet is just starting to deal with the effects of an abusive childhood. They were looking for a “good first step”, a place to start, where they could get some ideas…
