Winchester-based Counselling Service reaches 14 years old
RASAC Stands for Rape And Sexual Abuse Counselling and is an offshoot of the Winchester Area Community Action group. It’s been going since 1995 but recently received more promotional support with leaflets and cards denoting support from Hampshire County Council, the police authority and NHS Hampshire. The charity tackles any unwanted sexual encounter from either childhood or present day, and counsels both genders.
Its helpline operates on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays although the Monday opening hours are in the morning, from 11.30am-1pm. On Tuesdays and Thursdays the line operates at 7-9pm.
The site is here for further information and for the two numbers on the helpline, which is local to the area rather than 0845, and so free for anyone to call on a UK mobile phone contract with inclusive minutes.
