I thought this was interesting, because we don’t often talk about how the struggle to know how to navigate adult life plays out in the workplace. And yet, our emotional responses to adult life are often most obvious in the workplace.
We spend enough time there, it only makes sense that the way we relate to other people would also come out there. It’s also interesting that there are good and bad things that our childhood may bring to the table. I know this from my own life. I struggle with any negativity because it is too easy for me to spiral down from there, assuming the worst of everyone, but my ability to compartmentalize means I can generally keep going and get work done regardless of what else is going on. I developed both of those “skills” as a kid. How do you see your own trauma played out at work?
