Unfortunately, this is the reality in every country right now, where the available resources don’t even come close to meeting the need. When that situation exists, you have to prioritize, and resources generally only become available to the most severe cases.
Of course, if we could get help to people before they become severe cases, we may avoid the usage of many of those resources to begin with, but in an emergency situation, you have to triage.
Our lack of resources is just such an emergency. Those who can “survive” for right now aren’t going to get any help, until they become the next severe case.
That’s no way to solve mental health issues.
