Link – Mental illness crisis: Overhaul in the works

At least Oregon is acknowledging the problem and working to find ways to change it.

Not everything in the article is going to necessarily be adopted, or work if it is, but I’m glad to see one of our former home states at least trying to find a solution that doesn’t involve just locking more people up.

It will be interesting to follow along and see what works and what doesn’t. Then, maybe, other states can learn some lessons and apply them going forward.

It has to start somewhere.
