Link – North Dakota has too few psychiatrists. Telemedicine is helping

“In mostly rural states like North Dakota, the nationwide shortage of psychiatrists feels particularly acute.”
I’m not 100% sold that online sessions with a psychiatrist would be an exact replacement for everything you would get from in-person therapy sessions, but when there are no reasonable, local, alternatives to seeing someone who can prescribe medication or other forms of treatment, it seems like this is better than doing noting.
We know doing nothing isn’t going to help.
