Sharing – Why your therapist may have to break up with you

I had hoped the ease of online therapy, and the ability to get help to people regardless of location would have made it easier to push into that full time going forward, but after reading the article below, maybe not:

“But what was meant to make getting care easier during a complicated pandemic has actually made the landscape more confusing. Therapists have been forced to keep up with local ordinances or stop seeing their patients.”

As you may not be surprised to read, I am in favor of anything that makes getting care easier. Online therapy has been doing that, and many people have come to rely on it, as they have had to move and have been able to maintain their current level of therapy.

That’s a good thing, one that we should figure out how to make work long-term.
