A man who had been held in jail in Spain when his wife was accused of murdering their two children, has been convicted of CSA escalating up to the rape of the same girl into adolescence. He will be sentenced in February though it remains to be seen whether his Spanish and English remand time…
The ER is No Place To Get Youth Mental Health Treatment Either
We’ve talked before about jails being a bad place to treat mental health issues, yet we see so many people ending up there because their conditions spiral without any proper treatment. We’re seeing the same thing with children in emergency rooms as well: An increasing number of children are showing up in U.S. emergency rooms…
Would you Rather Talk Mental Health with a Bot?
I’m glad so many people are open to having a robot therapist, because as we have discussed many times, we don’t have nearly enough therapists to treat everyone who needs it, and you can’t just create more trained therapists very quickly. That means the solutions are likely to include various options as well.Â
That’s not a bad thing. It just means we have to find what works best for us individually.Â
As I’ve repeatedly said, find what works for you and stick with it. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise or convince you to stop doing something that works for you. Don’t give up if what your friend or an online influencer does that works for them doesn’t work for you. Every one of these lives is worth the effort to find what will make them want to stay. That includes you.Â
