Link – Normal Mental Health: How Does Chasing It Create Stigma?

This is a good reminder –

“When it comes to mental health, normality is a myth that does little to provide a path to long-term recovery. Instead, it serves as a standard we measure ourselves against, consistently finding that we come up short in comparison.”

Often I see folks dealing with mental health or abuse recovery who find themselves falling short of this “normal” that they have in their minds, and just as often, this “normal” is a life no one actually lives.
