I’ve survived both childhood abuse, and a suicide attempt. I know what it feels like to believe that it will never get better, just as much as I know that it can get better because it has.
Truthfully, you are a survivor, and the world needs you and your story. How else will the other survivors around you know what is possible?
The thing I want to support with this is not students being lazy or getting a free pass for skipping school, but just the simple fact that someone, somewhere, is normalizing the idea that sometimes, we just need a freaking break. That taking a breath for our own mental health is perfectly acceptable.
I found this review and also learned a bit about a disorder I wasn’t really familiar with before, so I thought I would share it with you all.

On the other hand, even if you don’t reach a point where your social media is all cheerful all the time, we could definitely use some more positive content in our feeds. This wouldn’t be a bad way to find some of that.
