Link – The Holidays, Family, and Depression: A Survival Guide

There’s some really good advice in this article. I highly recommend it if you’re dreading the stress of the holidays.

Remember, all of these tips have one thing in common, make sure to take care of yourself. That’s the most important thing you can do this holiday season. Find a way to take some time for yourself, find a way to escape the chaos of family when it gets to be too much, and reach out to people who will understand.

Heck, if you are really worried about being able to take a break from dealing with the family, go ahead and have someone you can call and chat for a bit. Going for a walk in order to talk to a friend is a great excuse to get away without raising any concerns.
