Nurse with CSA images from 2011 struck off and cold case rapists jailed

Local North East London newspaper The Wood and Vale reported on a senior nurse that was struck off following the discovery of 370 child abuse and bestiality images on his computer. Stuart Cross was jailed for 21 months in 2011 and placed on the Sex Offender’s Register for a decade. Following his parole the Nursing and Midwifery Council struck him off the register on Tuesday 10th April following an interim suspension.

Since the story last week recorded a formal professional judgement rather than a conviction from a court, there’s no link to the archive site for the paper. However the NMC Council Judgements list is here , select April 2012 and scroll down to the relevant date to read the judgement as a PDF file. As well as this judgement there were other reports at the Archant Group/London24 site about rapists being jailed 20 years on following cold case reviews of DNA. The main one is here and the other two are listed in the archive that follows.
