Child Abuse Trial beginnings and endings

In Chester, England, one trial has started regarding the honour-related murder of a 17 year old girl with her parents standing accused nine years after the girl’s death. Elsewhere in Preston, England the parents of an 11 year old boy who was made to sleep in a coal cellar for a year before being rescued have been found guilty of child cruelty and await sentencing. We’ll bring you the update on the sentencing in both cases when they conclude. The Guardian has the general details on the first case here and the Telegraph summarised the second story here.
